Our Founder
Ben Eavis founded Responsible Business to address a persistent gap he observed throughout his career: organisations that struggle to translate sustainability ambition into credible action. With over 20 years of senior leadership experience across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the UK, Ben has seen this challenge from both sides - as an in-house sustainability leader driving change inside organisations, and as an advisor helping companies build the strategies and capabilities needed to deliver on their commitments.
Before founding Responsible Business, Ben spent six years at Robertsbridge, most recently as Managing Director, where he scaled the firm more than tenfold, expanding from a single office to operations across London, Dubai, Singapore and Jakarta, and led sustainability strategy development for global clients including Primark, Warner Music Group, Heathrow, OVO, SD Guthrie and TotalEnergies.
Prior to that, Ben held senior sustainability and corporate affairs roles at PVH Corp (Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger), where he led global sustainability and social impact programmes across 1000+ factories; PepsiCo, managing sustainability and corporate affairs across Asia Pacific; Sainsbury's, where he developed the company's industry-leading "20 by 20" sustainability plan; Burberry, where he built the brand's first comprehensive sustainability strategy; and DLA Piper, where he established the firm's Business and Human Rights practice as International Head of Corporate Responsibility.
This dual perspective - inside organisations navigating complexity, and alongside them as an advisor - shapes how Responsible Business works. Ben understands the political dynamics, resource constraints, and operational realities that determine whether sustainability strategies succeed or stall. He knows what it takes to secure board-level buy-in, build cross-functional alignment, and implement programs that survive contact with business-as-usual pressures.
At Responsible Business, Ben and team of senior advisors provide two distinct forms of support: Embedded Leadership for organisations that need senior sustainability leadership integrated into their teams, and Strategic Partnership for those with internal leadership who require specialist expertise in strategy, reporting, stakeholder engagement or communications. Both approaches reflect the same fundamental insight: sustainability delivery requires more than frameworks and reports — it requires leaders who understand how organisations actually work, and advisors who bring genuine depth without displacing the people doing the work.
Based in Dubai, Ben works with clients across the GCC and internationally, partnering with CEOs, boards and senior leaders in sectors including energy, financial services, real estate, manufacturing, retail and consumer goods. He holds an MSc in Responsibility & Business Practice from the University of Bath and a BA in Geography from the University of Sheffield.
